Episode 69 Aftercare Interdisciplinary note editing and signing?

Use case:

A. Nurse. B.Social worker. C.Physician.

A. Writes the original note and is one of the signers of the note. B. Adds and or edits their part of the note and is a signer of the note. C. Physician usually does not edit the note but does sign it.

How does one usually deal with this?

One can sign but cannot edit a note that has been already co-signed. That is logical.

Is the solution simply that the original writer makes the social worker the Author, in effect forwarding it to the social worker who does their part and then makes the Physician the author (essentially forwarding it again) who signs it and then identifies the original writers as co-signers for their signing?

ID notes are difficult to set-up. I just did some last week.

See the TIU Implementation guide in the VDL for information on how to set them up. Read it carefully before you start.
